Duluth wedding

So after a previous post and more thinking, I am hoping to get married in Duluth, Someone on here recommended Clyde Iron Works for the reception and I think that places lools aweomse, but wanted some other options as well. So, here are the details. Budget of $11000 total, outside ceremony, inside reception. Hoping to spend $5000 on space rental, food, and one  hour of hosted bar. 150 people roughly. Any thoughts?

Yes! I live in Duluth and would love to get married here except we're moving in a few weeks.

Clyde Iron Works -- definitely a unique space with an industrial feel, but personally I would *not* have my wedding there. I went to an event there about a month ago that had a buffet and did not have a good experience. Everyone at the table had the chicken and it was not cooked thoroughly. We said something to the server, who then proceeded to tell us how the chicken was never done and how she would never eat it.

We were in a private back space, and there was music going on in the main restaurant. It was loud enough that it was very distracting when we were trying to hear some speeches in our room.

If you don't mind a ballroom look, check out the Greysolon Ballroom. They have 2 ballrooms and they are both gorgeous, and the catering is done by Black Woods, which is really good food (I've eaten numerous times at the restaurant and have eaten their food catered at the Greysolon Ballroom). I really wish I were getting married there. And if you can do a Friday night, they have an amazing $5000 reception package. I've been speaking with the coordinator Jax, who has been wonderful to talk with even though we ended up not booking with them! She was so helpful in trying to find a date that would work for us, even though it didn't end up working with our crazy schedules. I have no affiliation with the Greysolon Ballroom, I just kind of love it :)

As for an outdoor ceremony, my top 3 choices would be:
    - Glensheen grounds
    - Rose Garden
    - the space in Leif Erickson park down closer to the water where they play movies in the park. Have you been to Duluth? There's this big lawn space and sort of outdoor stage area with the lake as a beautiful backdrop.

You can also get married at Glensheen, which would be unique and gorgeous. Just definitely more expensive.

Good luck! Would love to hear your thoughts / what you decide!
