Dress is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO hot!

Ugh, I had my second dress fitting this weekend, and it is seriously SO hot to have it on... It's definitely too late for another dress, but do you all have ideas on how to stay cool in the dress?!

I wore a pair of those under-clothing shorts under mine (I had a poofy dress with a big crinoline).  It kept my legs from feeling sweaty all night. Maybe not cooler, but much more comfortable.

YES! Mine is hot too! I even told louise that this weekend and she had me stand in front of a fan but I am sure you cant have your PA following you around with a fan all day :) so I am not much help but just had to let you know that I can relate!

I can definitely relate too!  I've thought that the last two times I've had the dress on.

I will definitely be wearing a pair of spanx or other shorts type items under it to make it feel more comfortable.  Other than that I have no grand ideas.

No help, but can relate. I did bought some of that spray deodorant that you're not supposed to put anywhere but your underarms, but I'm going to try it, I really don't want to sweat all day in my dress.

Haha my friend had a pouffy dress, and she had her seamstress put a hoop at the bottom of her skirt, so it wouldn't brush against her body :)  She said it helped a lot!

My dress was super hot when I was doing my fittings, but honestly I didn't really notice it during the day, despite a high of 91 that day. When we were traveling between places for photos I hiked it up so the AC could blow on my legs. After the ceremony I took off the crinoline so that my legs could breathe more and I'd have more freedom to dance. The fabric of the crinoline was literally soaked with sweat (probably TMI, sorry!), but like I said, I really didn't notice how hot it was most of the day. There was only one time when we were just standing around during photos that I actually noticed that I felt hot, but other than that I felt great.

As silly as it may have looked, I picked up the hem of mine and moved around (swayed, etc) just to get air flow in there when I was standing around waiting for things.  I also wore spanx shorts which helped too!

Thanks for the tips ladies, I'm nervous since i was sweating buckets after having it on for 20 mn at my fitting.  I'm most worried about my make up!  there was sweat running down my legs too.  EEEK.  I am definitely findinga mini fan and blowing it up there all night.
    hahaha!

No new tips really but I can commiserate!  My dress was super hot at every fitting, and while quite warm on our wedding day I only really noticed being hot once (breeze died down on our walk from ceremony to reception).  I still sweated, so blot (don't smear/wipe) around hair line with a tissue -- drink A LOT of ice water (internally cools you down which helped me a lot), and I wore spanx shorts too.  While I still was sweaty, the shorts kept me comfortable at least b/c my legs didn't stick together (and acted as another form of absorbency....gross, but it's the truth!)
