on-site hair

Any recs for reasonably priced, good on-site hairstylists that can do hair for 7 ladies?  I booked with a company, and I got my day-of schedule from them, and they are quoting me a higher price than what was originally agreed upon.  In the case that we can't remedy this situation, I'm going to need to find another company asap.  Any recs are apprecaited.

Re: on-site hair

  • You originally went with Smart & Chic, right? I remember looking at the new site a while ago and seeing that they really hiked up their prices.

I'm going with Julie Swenson Beauty (she used to own S&C) and even with my adding on airbrush for myself it's only going to be about $200 for everything including my trial.

I'd also look into Mollie Kae Hair & Makeup, I know she offers a discount if the grand total is above a certain amount.

  • Thanks for the rec.  I heard back from Smart and Chic and they said the pricing was an error since I had booked before the prices went up.  They adjusted the prices back to what was originally agreed upon without any questions or an issue at all.  Hopefully that's the only problem I have.  I had a panic moment and went all bridezilla when I saw the wrong prices, so I was getting prepared to bail.  Since that was a relatively easy fix, I'm feeling more confident in my selection.

  • Can I ask what prices you booked at? I noticed they were kind of spendy, but I'm not sure if I booked before the prices went up or not. When did you book?

  • According to them, prices went up in June.  I had booked before then.  It only went up $5 per bridesmaid, so in perspective not that much.  However, I obviously wanted the pricing that I had booked, and with as many bridesmaids as I have, it's a significant chunk of money.  Again, they fixed that fairly easily.
