Small recap and a few pointers if you're interested

Hi Ladies! Wedding was great, of course there were issues with some things and I hardly can recall most of the night, but it's over and done and our guests seemed to really enjoy themselves. I guess there were some issues, but during the actual wedding day, everyone just kept it to themselves and I was completely unaware of most issues. I have a few suggestions:

1 - Make sure your BMs have their bouquets with them AT ALL TIMES until the reception, of course. Some of my girls set them down somewhere and then it held up pictures when we were trying to hustle through them before guests started to arrive.

2 - Figure out exactly where everyone important (like parents, grandparents) are sitting at your rehearsal (or at least before they walk down the aisle). There was a little tiff between some family members (my uncle was recording the ceremony for us and my grandparents felt like my mother and them should be sitting where he was) as people were being seated at the start of our ceremony.

3 - I just assumed the ushers would know to pass out the programs, however, it might be wise to assign a specific person to do this job so it actually gets done.

4 - For your sweetheart table / bridal party table - instead of arrangements, we just put some gold spray painted greenery on the edges and then I just layed my bouquet on its side (my blooms were very durable so it wasn't an issue with bruising, plus by the time of the reception you've already finished most photos that need the bouquet) and that was the centerpiece. The bouquet was gorgeous and also it was low enough so that we didn't have to worry about anything being in the way for any photos (like when you put them in a vase).

5 - Your husband WILL STEP ON YOUR BUSTLE - it's inevitable. Unfortunately mine did before we even had our first dance and completely tore it apart, but I just went with the flow and it is what it is. So my train got a little dirty...my point is - walk behind him a little as much as you can until at least all of your important photo-op moments have passed.

6 - If you have a steamer, bring it with you everywhere you go leading up to the ceremony. You have some time as guests arrive before you walk down the aisle and could easily do a few touch ups if you wish during that down time. My dress was a bit wrinkled since it is polyster (wrinkles like nobody's business) for our ceremony, but I'm sure our photographer can fix that for our professional prints.

So yeah, just relax once the big day is here and really edit down projects as the week of the wedding approaches if you are behind. Be able to delegate tasks especially the day of the wedding. Revel in the moment that everyone is there to support you guys as you *officially* begin your lives together. I'll work on vendor reviews next!
