Thanks for the nice feedback on my pew wreaths! They were easy to make - just time consuming. I had all the stuff downstairs and assembled them while watching TV!
Anyway, I just used styrofoam wreath forms - the ones that are round & extruded (not the kind that lay flat). I ordered them from Save On Crafts, then I ordered a ton of white silk carnations from Springhill Floral Supply. I think the carnations were under $.20 a piece. I ripped the stems off the carnations and used straight pins to pin them to the wreath forms (I had to use the end of the "stem" to make a little divot first). I probably should have hot glued them AND pinned them, but I just doubled-pinned as needed.
So, to clarify my steps:
1. Rip stems off flower
2. Use base of flower head to make an indentation in wreath form
3. Pin flower head to wreath form (pin under bottom layer of petals)
4. Repeat
It took a couple of wreaths before I got the hang of the spacing. It was pretty simple! I'm not sure of how I'll hang them - maybe using monofilament, individual wreath hangers (Save On Crafts), ribbon, etc.
If you decide to make some and have any questions, let me know!
