We are getting married in Vegas with nine guests, with a nice dinner afterwords. We are doing self written vows at Red Rock Canyon, not your typical Vegas wedding stuff so it is a little more work to plan.
When we got back to Minneapolis, we were going to do a Reception in a community room at my mom's building (a very nice one). It was going to involve all kinds of work and planning on my part. Then, we had a brainstorm: let's just have friends and family in a private room at Brit's Pub! SO easy! We will treat it just like a "real" reception, of course and pick up a group tab, etc but NO work for us! I am so relieved. We send out the invites and the thank you notes and enjoy our party. Woo hoo!
I just had to share this with my fellow Knotties. I know a lot of people are planning very elaborate receptions, and I wish all the best but part of the reason we chose Vegas was to avoid doing a bunch of that.
