Reception Food Help

I have a low food budget for my reception ($450 with a 50 person guest list). I can’t find any catering cheap enough so I was thinking of setting up my own buffet with pasta and pizza (I would make the salad and breadsticks myself). Do you guys have any suggestions? I can’t find any good pizza places that also have family style pasta for pick up.

Or other ideas on what to serve? I’ve heard that chipotle caters really inexpensively but I can’t find any info on it.

Thanks, I appreciate it!

I've been to a RD where they had Boca Chica mexican catered in.  No idea on prices.

Also, I believe someone on here had Noodles & Co cater their RD and think that it was around $8/pp.

Not sure where you're located and where your party will be but I know that Little Oven and Yarussos will do catering size portions of their food.  Cosettas also has a catering line.  (obviously all St. Paul locations!)

CeeCees (or CiCi's?) is EXTREMELY cheap and I bet they have catered pasta to go.  There are a few locations around the Cities.  We had them deliver pizza at our reception and it was $5 per large pizza, ridiculously cheap.

    Good luck!

You might want to try Lisa's Catering in Anoka - prices start are 8-10 bucks a plated dinner, and this includes 2 sides, salads, rolls, etc plus the napkins, plates and silverware. Really great deal for budget catering!

    Brasa Rotisserie  www.brasa.us

They cater and I"m pretty sure it's not much more than 10/person.  Might be an option

    Thanks guys!

I’ve gotten word back from Brasa, they can cater on my budget ~ said I could have sandwiches, coleslaw and chips if I chose them.

$10 is still about $60 too much, but thanks!

    I will check out CeeCee’s!

Boca Chica is still looking like a great option, ridiculously inexpensive! And they have amazing food that I’ve actually tasted.
