Jillian of Special Touch Events (and other DOCs) - thoughts?

I know there have been a lot of posts lately about DOCs and I'm starting to try to figure out who to contact. We're looking for someone who's at or below $500.

Has anyone worked with Jillian of Special Touch Events?

I just hired Stephani with First Blush Bride and so far she has been great!  Very helpful and willing to go the extra mile.

I used Julie Lyford with www.fabulousfunctions.com.  She charge’s 75 an hour, she offers one free hour to any educator!  DOC includes 2 hours free consultation to prep for the wedding.  Packages are on a case by case basis.

I met with Jillian a couple of weeks ago and really really liked her. I've also been in touch with Elizabeth Anne but haven't had time to meet with her - she was really nice and on the ball with communication. (Actually, same with Bliss.) I picked up a really good vibe from Jillian - like, if I had a baby, I'd trust her with my baby. She was respectful of my vision and seemed very concerned with making sure I would be able to relax the day-of.

So, long story short - liked her a lot. Leaning heavily towards booking her.

ETA: Aaaaaaand I just realized we're date twins.

Actually, that's fun. I hope Jillian works out for you! What's crazy is that I just looked again at her website and realized I went to high school with her. She was in my class and everything! Not sure if she'd remember me, though. I remember her being pretty cool (a biker chick, if I remember correctly!) but I didn't know her well.

Do you know when you'll decide? If you could let me know if you decide to book with her, I won't bother setting up a consultation. Otherwise I guess I'll just check back in a week or two.

We are using Faith of Urban Montage.  She is new to the business on her own but has worked as an assistant for a while for First Blush. I got some good recs from her and she seems really great.  We're booking her this week.  I can give you her info if you'd like.  She is below $500.

We will be using Lora with At Your Service Weddings.  She is really, really wonderful.  She has been doing this for about six years and knows what she is doing.  I checked into a lot of coordinators that were about $500 and they scared me.  It seemed like they just rolled out of bed that day and decided to open their own business.  Lora has an event planning background, an MBA, and has worked in catering, in a flower shop, in a dress shop and has done other wedding things.  Even though she is doing DOC for us, she has been a guide in all of our planning so far.  She has caught a couple of problems (before the became problems), save me from stressing out about everything, and saved us some money.  Her package is about $850 but she has tons of knowledge and experience.  She has gone above and beyond for us and it isn't even our wedding day!
