Hi Ladies - Where can I get votives like these at the cheapest price? I assume soy is the best for this...?

All we need is 75.

We got ours at Michaels. They are the kind that come in boxes of 12 and are already in little glass jars. They were a pretty good deal and we always used 40-50% off coupons on them. They looked beautiful on our tables and lasted as long as we needed them to.

FMIL got our tealights from Soyworx.  <--- Clicky

It was 50 tealights for $27.50 plus tax.  They burn approximately 7-8 hours!  B & SIL had the same kind at their wedding in June & they lasted all night.  = )

 try Ikea.  I got our tealight candles and little glass holders there.  I can't remember how much they were.... but it was not very expensive, I want to say like $30 for candles and the holders?

Oops though, I meant tealights, not votives..........I already have the votive holders, but just need the tealights, and like I said, need them to burn for like 4-5 hours (if that's possible).

those are the ones from Ikea that I used.  I'm pretty sure they have them in a variety of colors, but I used white.  I can't say that I remember whether or not they were still burning at the end of the night as I had family members cleaning them up at the end of the night.

It's tricky to find the longer-burning tea lights... soy would probably be your best bet but I can't even begin to know where to recommend!  I've been to a soy candle factory outlet store down in Iowa that has a ton, but that's only if you want to drive 3 hours   My rentals vendor had recommended a brand and the only place I was able to find it in the cities is St. Patrick's Guild down in Saint Paul...

they're a tiny bit taller than standard tealights when in their plastic holders, though... so may or may not work for what you're looking for.  Here's some more normal ones:

I have gotten tealights at Target, BBB, etc a big bag for like 5 bucks.

I use them quite often for oil burning, and I can vouch they definitely last at least 4 hours.

Ok for some reason they aren't online at either of these stores- annoying. I would just go to bed bath and beyond and ask where they have bags of bulk tealights. The ones I have bought have a metal bottom/casing around them, not the clear, not sure if that matters to you. I think there are something like 100 in a bag. I think they were usually towards the front of the store or you could always check in the candle section.

You can get them pretty cheap at Michael's, especially when you use the 40% off coupons -- these come in almost every Sunday paper and are often online, too. I don't know for sure how long they last - but you could buy some and test them out.
