Marriage license, ordination, and questions!

I made an appointment for today earlier this week at the county for two things: one, getting FI's cousin registered with the county so he can marry us, and two, getting our marriage license (since we were already going to be there).  I know the shutdown is now about over, but I got nervous that things would take too long   FI's cousin is from Boulder CO and is in town for the weekend to get to know me better and help us start writing the ceremony.  He got ordained online to marry us, so he's no professional, but he has been involved in a few ceremonies before so we are hoping he'll have some good ideas!!!

Couple questions for you gals

1.  Has anyone written their entire ceremony before?  I started putting ideas together and it is really hard!!!

2.  Did you get a fancy marriage certificate (?) to sign?  I see them on etsy and other people's bios, but are they just decorative keepsakes?

3.  Did anyone have their wedding band custom made?  Where did you have it done?

1. We trusted our officiant to put the ceremony together, as he's a good friend of ours and has known us since we started dating almost 8 years ago. I guess I'm no help there.

2. I'm pretty sure that those fancy ones are just pretty keepsakes.

3. I'd recommend Arthur's Jeweler's in Roseville. They were super great for both of us to work with -- H and I picked out each other's rings separately. They have a ginormous selection, especially for guys, but if you don't find anything, they can do custom stuff.

1.  I didn't write the entire ceremony. However, we did just get a copy from our officiate of the ceremony itself. I'd be happy to share it if you want.

2.  We didn't get a fancy marriage certificate to sign, just the official one and then a couple keepsake ones that you can have people sign as well. They are just on plain white paper though, so not fancy in the least.

3.  FI and I had both our rings custom made at Wedding Day Diamonds in Bloomington.  FI designed my ring around a particular diamond that he liked. His band was custom made was well with flames etched in and is two different colors. I was very impressed with the work that they did on it. Plus, they made FI happy, which doesn't happen often when it comes to jewelry. (I can try to find pictures if you want to see either of the rings.)

I'm curious to see his ring... yours too, really, but I've never heard of flames etched on a ring. It sounds cool!
