FIVE Event Center

Has anyone had or been to a recp at FIVE event center in MPLS?  I was just wondering how their experience was?  I am interested in this place but haven't heard much about it.   Any info would be great!

Thanks!

I have been there for a reception. It's nice, very modern decor. The only bad thing I could say is that it felt very cramped. Not sure if it's because the couple invited too many guests or if the layout would feel that way no matter what.

I looked into it when I was choosing reception spots - they were very helpful and quick to reply to questions. I decided not to go with them because of the high costs, extra fees and lower capacity than my guest list.

My friend is getting married there in a few weeks so I haven't been there yet but it looks nice. It sounds like she had a good experience thus far working with them. From what I've seen online, it seems a bit spendy though, at least on our budget. They're doing their wedding on a sunday and I guess its much cheaper on off-days.

Completely agree. We looked into it. It's a nice site, and they were very nice and quick to respond, but I felt it was really expensive for what you get and it seemed like they charged you for every little thing they could, which made it more than I wanted to pay.

We also looked at FIVE for our ceremony and reception. It's really an amazing place with so much character! It wouldn't take much to decorate the upstairs and downstairs spaces, so you could save some money on decorations, but in the end we decided it was too small and over our budget. Parking would have been difficult too. If I can remember, the parking lot fits about 40 cars and the rest is street parking. There are quite a few apartments in the area using that street parking too. On a positive note, the ladies there were really quick to respond and extremely helpful during the meeting!
