We are using Maria from Ispiri Events.  Haven't had my wedding yet so I can't tell ya how she worked out but so far she has been extremely nice and helpful with questions I've had!  Very affordable!

We're using Deven Nelson, both as our florist and our DOC.  She's been fabulous, and such a stress relief knowing she'll be there.

Kari with Bliss Events was my DOC. I have more details in the bio, but long story short - she was awesome.

There are SO many talented, helpful DOC's out there.  Have you bugeted for one? I'd first consider what you want to pay and narrow the pool down a bit.  Then interview a few and see if you click.  Ours is Lisa Jaster lmjoriginals.com.  Her prices were so great and we clicked so well with her that we hired her to be our wedding coordinator instead of just day-of.  Best decision...ever!

We are meeting with Maria tomorrow - so hopefully I'll know some more after that.  We looked at few other places, but they were so expensive and I had already done a lot (or plan to) of what was offered.  Maria's (Ispiri) prices are very reasonable. GL

How much is Ispiri's day-of cost?
  • edited December 2011
When I booked her she had a special if you booked before Aug. 1 for $300! I think normally it's $500.  I'll just have to pay for the extra mileage to our ceremony site since it is outside of the Twin Cities area.

I would def recommend a DOC. There is so much that goes on day of and while I would say if you are on the knot you are prolly a planner, you dont want to have to worry or plan at all on your wedding day. We went with Sarah from Lasting Impressions as when we meet with her we immediately clicked. I cant wait to work with her now that it is getting closer!

I am using a Friend of the Family that does weddings on the side. She offered for free but I am going to give her $300. Her biggest duty is setting up the reception hall. :) So I'll have my Aunt handle things at the Ceremony Site until she gets there.

We're going with Kirsten from Fab.You.Lous Events. Totally recommend her!

I second OliveHim on Lisa Jaster. She is awesome! Really easy to work with, organized and fun which is a bonus. Definitely check her out.

We also went with Deven Nelson. If you're looking for a florist AND a DOC, you can kill two birds with one stone! Although we already had our florist when we hired Deven.

She's $500 for day-of services, and after meeting with her just once I can tell you she will be well beyond $500 worth of services. Holy moley, the woman does it all. I can't wait!

What, exactly, are you having your DOCs do?  I know they handle vendors and decoration set-up, and generally wrangle everyone, but will they do things like pick up and return items, like table runners and arbors?

We are also using Maria from Ispiri Events! She's super sweet and her prices are unbeatable :)

We mainly hired a DOC to keep everything on track the day of the wedding. I wanted someone to tell me (and everyone else) when to be where. I also didn't want to have to worry about decorating the church or reception site if we run out of time. She also helps out with the rehearsal dinner and gives everyone schedules for the day of. Totally worth $300 if you ask me :)
