I just got engaged a couple days ago and wanted to introduce myself! To be honest I have been lurking on the board for a while, and am looking forward to getting to know you guys!
My fiance surprised me with a date night to the Saint Paul Grill (where we had our first date and first anniversary dinner) and when we arrived there were a dozen roses at our table and a scrapbook/memory book entitled "our first year" (we have been dating for about 2.5 years) anyways, he made me wait until after dinner to look at it together. He had saved movie tickets, trip momentos, theater tickets, etc etc from our first year or so of dating. At the end of it there was a card I had given him that was very sweet about wanting to spend my life with him. He had me read it to him a couple times and then said that was exactly how he felt. He said a bunch of other nice things and then got down on one knee and asked.
It was a very fun night! Looking forward to talking with you more!
