First off, let me tell you that all of my vendors rocked and I was so pleased with every one! I did not review my photographer, as she is located out of state. As for my hair and make up -- these were done by friends/relatives who do it on the side so I did not review them either. Lastly, I did not review the DJ because it was my brother's company and he will be closing his business in 2012 -- simply to start a new business. Ok -- so here are the local vendors that I did review!
Ceremony/Reception Location & Hotel Block ~
Treasure Island Resort and Casino, Red Wing MN: A-
All in all TI was amazing to work with. I worked with Michelle Robertson in the catering/sales department and she was great to work with. Every time I had a question she had an answer and always responded as quickly as possible. We blocked 53 rooms at TI and everything went great. All of my guests enjoyed their stay, and I couldn't have been more pleased. As for the ceremony/reception sites -- it was beautiful. We had the perfect weather to get married on the beach, and everything went off without a hitch. The ONLY thing that disappointed me was that I was told my table cloths and runners would be on the tables before we went in to decorate on Saturday, and when we walked in they were not on the tables. I went out of my way a few days before the wedding to drive all my runners and overlays out to Red Wing for this specific reason, and when I got there on Saturday and they were not on the tables I thought it was a waste of time and gas on my part. That's the ONLY thing that really made me upset. Everything else was great -- it was also VERY cheap to get married there.
Cake - Sweet Treats by Jeff: A+
The cupcakes we had made by Jeff were Oreo Fudge Crunch, White Chocolate Kahula, Carrott Cake and Chocolate Dipped Strawberry. All of them were AMAZING and we had so many guests ask for his contact info. Jeff was great to work with and I couldn't be more pleased. His prices were also very reasonable, which was surprising since they are the best cupcakes ever!
Photo Booth - Party Booths: A+
The photo booth was a hit at the wedding! Everyone loved it and the photo booth attendant was awesome. If you can fit this into your budget, I'd highly suggest it and I'd highly suggest Party Booths!
Flowers - Ptachek's: A+I went through Ptachek’s grocery store in Prescott, WI simply because I knew someone who someone and was able to get a discount on our flowers. I was so pleased with how each bouquet, boutonnière and corsage turned out. All the flowers were gorgeous and did not die before the end of the night.
Chair/Runner/Draping Rental – Affordable Elegance: A All in all Affordable Elegance was great to work with! They were able to fulfill all of my requests, and were very quick to respond when I had a question. I would recommend them in a heart beat.
Rings - Shane Co: A+
Love them!!! Our rings are beautiful and we had no issues working with Shane Co at all!
Alterations - Twin Cities Bridal Alterations: A+
Sharon is great to work! I only had two fittings - one when I dropped off the dress and one when I picked it up! The alterations were fantastic, and very reasonable.
Dress - Napier Bridal: - A
I bought my dress off the rack at Napier last May. I really didn't get to work with them much, since I got to take my dress home the day I bought it. I do have to say that I got a great deal on the dress and wish I could wear it again. Unfortunately, Napier Bridal has closed their doors .
I think that's it! Again, all my vendors rocked and I got so lucky to have such great people to work with. Best of luck planning to all of you!
