Officiant Help!!

Hey everyone! First post here...hoping all you lovely ladies can help me out!!

My fiance and I are looking for an officiant for our wedding. We are looking for a ceremony that is non-religious, and has a more personal feel. I don't want a generic ceremony, but would rather have one that is more tailored to us.

Thoughts? Suggestions? Advice? I'm ready for it all Laughing

We really really liked our officiant-- Judge Cass. He is very good about answering your emails, will do whatever kind of ceremony that you want, and adds a lot of personal flair to the service. On his website he has lots of samples to go through. You can just use them or utilize them as starting points and tailor it to your tastes. After our wedding we had people telling us how much they liked him.

    Here is his website

I just met with Rev. Amy Riesenberg this Saturday and my FI and I love love love her!  While she is a rev., she can do completely secular ceremonies.  The way she put it to us was "there are only two parts of the ceremony that are required:  you have to say I do, and I have to pronounce you.  Other than that everything else is up to you".  She is also eager to meet with us at no additional cost (something I found a lot of other judges/rev. charged for).  I can't say enough good things about her.  Below is her webpage.  She will respond if you contact her through that site.  She is great and quick with communication as well!

We went with Jill Englund of MN Wedding Officiants.  She was FANTASTIC.  We didn't have a religious ceremony, wanted to write our own, and had several ceremonies we made up and she was able to accomodate us and make it all beautiful!

I used Judge Susan Miles and she was great. She has some ready-made ceremony scripts to start with, and you can change, add, etc from what she already has. Her contact info is in my planning bio.

Judge Tom Armstrong. You get to write your own ceremony. He's fun and personable and makes things like a rehearsal go smoothly and have everyone smiling.

My husband and I were married by Reverend Linda Hamption and she is awesome! When you meet with her she provides a sample ceremony packet and we used that for inspiration but added in a lot of things ourselves. She made sure to let us know it's our ceremony and should go how we want it. I can't say enough good things about her!

    Good luck!

We used Jim Albani. We did a completely non religious ceremony that we put together ourselves with his help and one of the biggest comments we got from our wedding was how personal the ceremony was and how even people that didn't know us well felt a part of it and could feel the love.
