Hair/makeup recommendations (Gahanna)

Looking for hair/makeup recommendations in the Gahanna area. I normally go to Kenneths for my hair, but I don't think they open until 9 on Saturday's and my wedding is at 11. How long does it typically take for both hair and a makeup application? Thanks!

There's Charles Penzone on Cherry Bottom, and Salon on Mill on Mill St. I know someone who used the Salon on Mill's services when her sister got married and they liked it. With that time frame, if it's in the budget, I would recommend someone come to you. Our ceremony was at 2, and we went to a salon that opened at 9. My hair took about an hour (I would recommend a trial to make the process go by faster the day of- at my trial my hair took 2x as long) and I was done by 10, and we left by 11 once the girls were finished. Took about 15 minutes to get to ceremony location, and then makeup took from the time we got there until 1:40. My makeup took about 20 minutes (again here I suggest a trial- makeup at trial took an hour), but everyone else went first to make sure my makeup was fresh at the start of the ceremony. However, if you can't have someone come to you. maybe do something pretty natural with your hair/makeup so it won't take long to style, or have your hair done for your rehearsal dinner and then have it modified the next morning.

I'm getting my makeup done on site by a makeup artist that comes to you. Her name is Alison Feamster and her work is awesome. She can provide traditional make-up as well as airbrush make-up. And she's really sweet on top of that. I also go to Kenneth's in Gahanna, but I don't think I will be getting my hair done there because it's a haul to my wedding location. Is there a Kenneth's closer to your wedding spot?

I go to the charles penzone in gahanna too.  They are awesome.  I always see Sherry R and she is amazing at hair and my favorite part is that she is super quick and I dont have to spend my entire day in the salon.  Not sure about anyone there for makeup though.

You may want to consider having hair and make up come to the church.  Kelli Ramey 614-571-6172, she has a hair girl too. Leanne.  You don't need to run out of time :(

I met a really sweet make up artist last night at an event. Her name is Susanne Langford and here's her info! 330-417-1805, susannelangford@ymail.com. She was doing free airbrush make up and eye shadow trials. I kept my make-up on all night last night (with no where to go) but I looked fabulous :)

    Good luck!
