Venue Review? Fine Line or The W Foshay Hotel

Hi Ladies, 
  
    I am wondering if anyone has had or is planning on having their wedding reception at either the Fine Line Music Cafe or The W Foshay Hotel in minneapolis. I have looked for reviews, but haven't been able to find any. I would love to hear about someone else's experience - the good and the bad. Advise is welcome. Thanks!

Hey! I've never been to a wedding at either of these places, but I have looked into the W Foshay (one of the smaller meeting rooms though). I absolutely love the space and atmosphere and everyone that I've spoken to has been nothing but nice, helpful and easy to get a hold of!

I looked at the Fine Line, but ended up taking our style in a totally different direction. When we were considering it, I was concerned about the crime and chaos on 1st Ave. late at night when our guests would be leaving.  If you are going to seriously consider it I would highly recommend doing complimentary valet service or a shuttle so your guests are taken care of and don't have to walk to their cars.  I live in Mpls so it isn't that I'm being "city" phobic, I just really don't like the atmosphere in that area of downtown at night.  HTH
