Fashion Gurus: Help me pick a dress for e-pics!

Our e-pics are in two weeks and I'm in the market for a new dress! Our session will be taking place in/around Nisswa - I'll be wearing jeans in the woods, but I'd like to wear a dress in town. Nisswa is kind of kitschy and I was trying to find something semi-retro that would flatter a pear-hourglass-hybrid body type. (Meaning chesty and hippy/thighy, with just a bit more junk in the trunk than under the hood.)

Here are the three I've narrowed it down to:

A:

B:

C:

I would go with C only because the ruffles at the neck line can make you look top heavy. I've gotten dresses like A and B before and it always makes my chest look too big. However, if that's a desired goal, then go for it! lol

I love all 3... is that an option?? :) I think I like 1 or 3 the best just because they are a bit more simple w/o the flower...and for pictures I feel like maybe that is better? Obviously I am not a photog nor am I a fashion guru like you requested ;) but that's my thought!

I picked B because I think it has the best balance between loose and fluttery and structured. The skirt is just a little flowy but the belt ties them in well. And it has ruffles by the neck but they're not really frilly and they're in a really defined space. Plus I really love that color; I'm wearing a shirt today in almost that exact shade.

I voted for C.  I think it's the most retro looking, if that's what you're going for.  I was at Maurcies last weekend, and they seemed to have several A-line dresses that might work for you, too.

My vote went to C but it was between B and C. I went with C as it is a bit more simple and I think it might photograph better and not take away from eyes going to you.

LOVE the first and third dresses you posted hkiesling -- esp that last one, that is fantastic!

Hkiesling, I am so going to Maurice's to try on the blue one! Super cute. Very Jackie Kennedy.

I think everyone is right about option A - those ruffles might be too much. I really like B and had though of just clipping off the flower. I have a sleeved/patterned version of C (from a manufacturer in New Orleans called Trashy Diva) that fits like a dream - I'm just nervous about sleeveless. My kettlebells and I need to start having 2 hour daily dates.

I voted for A.  If you're pear-shaped, the ruffles on top with the bare shoulders will balance you out, plus I love the color.  C is also a really good one.  It's simple and classy.

I own the brown dress that I posted, and it's fantastic about creating an hour-glass shape (it has support through the waist).  I recommend the Maurices at the Maplewood Mall, as it had the most sizes available (it's a big store).

I voted A be would be nice though too. I fear that if you have a larger chest C will look like 2 big triangles. + For any upclose shots the ruffles will add a nice textural quality.

If you are looking for retro you can't go wrong with anthropologie or modcloth.com.

I like C - more simple than the other two, maybe more retro.
But I would wear #1... love the vertical blue ruffles.
