1st dj appointment tomorrow...

Is there anything specific that others have found important to ask the dj at the first meeting.  Do you bring anything with to the meeting? I just don't want to go unprepared.
TIA

I have my first appointment with one tomorrow as well! Here's what friends of mine have told me to ask from their own experiences (I'm obviously not asking all of these as you can find some of their info online, and it's quite the list!):

    1. How much do you charge?
    2. Does your price include everything that you offer as a DJ?
    3. Will you play music during my ceremony (if at the same location)?
    4. Do you have any hidden charges?
    5. Do you charge extra for lighting?
    6. Do you require a deposit?
    7. Can I pay you the day of my event?
    8. What are my payment options?
    9. Does the price include music during the cocktail hour and/or during dinner?
    10. Can I choose from a song list?
    11. Can I choose a "no play" song list?
    12. Does the DJ have a wide variety of song selections?
    13. How do you stay current with your DJ music library?
    14. Do you take and play requests?
    15. Are you insured?
    16. How do you dress for an event?
    17. Do you have references for your DJ services
    18. Do you belong to any disc jockey associations?
    19. Do you bring a complete backup DJ system with you?
    20. Do you need a table and/or table cloth?
    21. Do you have a service guarantee?
    22. How long have you been a Disc Jockey?
    23. Will you make announcements at my event?
    24. How early will you be set up?
    25. Are we guaranteed the DJ of our choice the day of our event?
    26. Do we need to provide you a meal?
    27. What do you do to get people dancing?
    28. Are you going to talk a lot?
    29. How do you describe your style?
    30. Explain how you will handle the introductions, first dance, cake cutting, garter, bouquet and special dances.
    31. Are you licensed?
I hope this helps! Good luck and happy planning!!!!!!!!
