Married on 9/29 (PIP)

So I posted some pics on the September board, but I wanted to post some on this one as well.  I'm sure you all know what a BEAUTIFUL day it was!  I couldn't believe we had a high 70's day at the end of September.

All together the wedding was perfect.  Sure a few things went wrong (mostly during the ceremony), but at the end of the day we were married and threw an amazing party!  Also, the ring bearer and flower girl didn't want to walk in alone, so we ended up walking in to the ceremony with the kids.  It wasn't sombre, but it was freaking adorable.  I'll always remember walking down the aisle.

I don't have pro pics back yet, but here are a few that firends and our DOC took for us.

  • Thanks ladies.  Maggie, I haven't gotten any pics back from Imagen yet.  I think they'll turn out pretty great.  We had Alix shooting our wedding, and I really liked him.  There weren't a lot of "creative" shots, but we went with a more straight forward type of photography cause DH always gave me a stink face when I would show him more "artistic" photographs.  I'm looking forward to seeing some of the candids, though.  Right now, I'm just patiently waiting for pics.  I know that the fall is an extremely busy time of year for them, and they never gave me an estimated amount of time that it would take to get them.  I suppose if it gets to the 6-8 week mark then I'll ask how long they're anticipating it will take.

</div><div>i'm sure they'll be awesome! Alix and his assistant did our wedding too, and we got tons of great pictures.  It took us about 6 or 7 weeks to get our pics.  He did send us 4 teaser pics a couple days after the wedding while we were on our honeymoon.

  • I love the cinnamon and sugar idea!  My niece got married the day before you and tried to do a painting, but the paint was too thick and wouldn't pour out on the canvas.  Cinnamon and sugar seems far safer.
  • Haha.  Thanks for the compliments on the cinnamon/sugar ladies.  It was actually DH's idea.  We were discussing unity ceremony options.  Originally I wanted a sand ceremony in a picture frame, and I just wasn't finding what I wanted.  He said he didn't just want a jar of sand sitting around the house and he'd rather have something more practical like cinnamon and sugar that we would use.  So... we just decided to go with it.  I think it was our guests' favorite part of the ceremony, and it was memorable, so I'm glad he spoke up and I listened.
