Pianist Help!

Hi There!

We had a hard time finding a pianist, and now the one that we found isn't going to be available. Does anyone know of any pianists ? My wedding is now less than three weeks away.

It is over labor day weekend which is the difficult part. Please help

You could contact some of the music schools in the area or the UofM music department to see if they would put you in contact with a piano student willing to play a wedding. I would suggest my DH, but we're in Chicago :-(

Also, are you getting married in a church? If so, their music director should know of someone (if they aren't able to do it themselves). Or if anyone you know attends a local church, they may be able to put you in contact with their church musicians.
Otherwise, its possible the people at the venue in which you are having your ceremony may have contacts from previous weddings.

I know in the Chicago area there is like a listserv website kinda thing where pianists list their info in order to get gigs. Perhaps MN has something similar? Google is your friend :-)

I know someone who could play piano for you. We went to HS together and she just moved back to the cities. She is fantastic too and wouldnt really need much time at all to practice as I know she sight reads really well. If you want her info just PM me with your email or post it here and I can pass it along to you!

If those options don't work, you could maybe try putting a request on Craigslist!

I went to HS with Phil Thompson and he is just excellent. He plays for tons of weddings and has his own business, but I don't know what his rates are.
