Yes or no?

Wondering if you and your bridesmaids are doing or having their hair and makeup done as a group, or if you are all going your own seperate ways for that piece of the getting ready. 

I thought most people did it one of those ways, and as it turns out, my BMs were expecting something different.

I only had one attendant. She and a handful of female family members and myself went to a salon to get our hair done. I didn't require it of anyone, and I didn't pay for anyone but myself.

I only have one as well, so we are getting ready together. Her stylist is doing our hair and she is doing our makeup.

I only had one BM so we went to my salon for hair and make up. I really wanted her with me and I covered the tab for both of us.

I am also only having a MOH and we are doing our hair/makeup at the salon and I am footing the bill because I want her there.

I think Etiquette says if you are requiring them to have their hair/makeup done at a salon, you foot the bill. If it's optional, then people who want to have that done can and you are not responsible for the bill, however they also have the option to do it on their own.

My aunt did my hair, and I did my own make up. I told my girls that the could do whatever they wanted hair and make up wise. A few went and got their hair done at the salon, and all but one did their own make up, with the last one not wearing make up as she isn't comfortable in make up.

Ditto what PP said about if you expect your girls to go to the salon or get their hair/make up done with you on site, you should foot the bill. If you make it optional for them then they can pay if they choose to have it done.

My bridesmaids and I all stayed in the same hotel room the night before the wedding.  The morning of, we all got ready in that same room.  I had my hair/make-up done by Smart&Chic and my BM each did their own.

We hit the salon together and I paid for it.  I didn't really care one way or another what people did with their hair but my BMs were just my sisters and we all go to the same lady for haircuts anyway.  It just worked for us.

We'll either all go together to a salon or have someone come to us. Haven't figured that out yet :-)

The lady who owns a local salon I go to is willing to give me a really good deal on getting everyone's hair done, and mine will be free, so that's the route we're taking.  But, since it's a Sunday, she'll be doing 10 people herself, so we have to start really early in the morning.
