Outdoor wedding venues in central MN

Anyone know of any outdoor venues near the twin cities area? I live about an hour north of Minneapolis and we're looking for venues anywhere from 1-2 hours within the twin cities area. We originally wanted to have a beach wedding out in California where he's stationed, but our families can't make it out there. So we'd like to find a beautiful outdoor area here at home instead. Any ideas?

  • The first thing that popped into my head was Munsinger Gardens in St. Cloud. If we had our wedding up here, that's where I would love to have our ceremony because that's where we got engaged! I'm not sure what your guest list is like though because I think they only seat around 75? I can't remember.

I think Mulligan's in St. Cloud has outdoor options, as well as the golf courses (Blackberry Ridge, St. Cloud Country Club).

Not sure what area you're looking at but I live pretty much in St. Cloud so I know of a few places around here (and I have some recommendations for a reception if you're having the wedding here!). Also have a DJ recommendation if you'd like :-)

A friend had her wedding at Blackberry Ridge. I was only able to go to the reception, but I got to see the space and it's really nice! I think they can set up a tent outside for a ceremony and possibly even a reception. Can't remember though, been a while since I looked into it!

  • Another vote for Trellis Gardens in Stillwater!
  • Myfiance' and I took a tour of Trellis Weddings and as beautiful as it was the price when all said and done was quite spendy. For 3 hours you will be paying anywhere from $1400-$2100. They also have addons that are lovely but can cost you a decent amount considering you are only using their facility for 3 hours and any over time on your time slot will run you $150. You have a nice cottage for the bridal party to use along with seperate quarters for the grooms party. Again its nice but I felt like it would be rather rushed with having to get ready, take pictures, have a ceremony and leave in time.
