ceremony musicians-help!

So I am in need of a ceremony musician, I am thinking either a piano or violin. I only need one musician. From what I have seen from the local board on the knot, its a lot of quartets and for more money than I want to spend. I would like to keep the price about $150 being they are only going to play for 45 min-1 hour. We are getting married in a church, but do not need to use their musicians.

Does anyone have any suggestions or who are you using?

No suggestions because I used a trio but perhaps you'd have good luck with a music student at one of the local colleges?

Any idea what college's would be good to check with, I tried a couple with no responses.

I would highly recommend Jason Craft. He is extremely versatile and a sensitive pianist.  Not to mention extremely talented.  Email ssminey79 at gmail dot com if you want more of his info.

I have a friend who is a wonderful professional violinist (she also conducts the orchestra at Jefferson High school in Bloomington)-and has done many weddings.  Her fee is $250.  If you want more info, PM me.

    Good Luck!

Our violinist charges $200...his contact info is at ericbate@gmail dot com.  We are listening to song selections tonight and he is a part of a quartet so they have the ability to add more musicians if you'd like.

I second Jason Craft.  His prices were very low compared to others and he did an amazing job.

email me at lrbrouwer@yahoo.com for his contact info.

I had him play at my ceremony (he practiced day of with the soloist and it sounded like they practiced several times!) and during my reception.  For the reception I just told him the "type" of music I wanted and he took care of it from there.  He came and set up and we did introductions and from there forward he took care of everything and even saved the day when the sound system cords were broken (I guess he had extras in the car and fixed it...I found out after the fact).  You wont' be disappointed.  Someone on here suggested him to me and I just took their advice and booked him and can't say enough good things about him.
