You might want to click on "Local Wedding BOards" to the left and then post this under your state.
One tip, researching photographers has been a several month long project for me. I found a lot by finding wedding blogs from my state, going to the facebook pages of photogprahers, checking out their "Likes" pages to see more photographers, searching the online classifieds. My top 3 photographers that I will choose from in my budet each came from a different search source.
I am from MN and using Kara Knutson with M.E. Photography. I LOVE HER. She is about $1,000.00 for 6-8 hours. If you want any more information please IM me. The girls on the local board are helpful too!
I'm using Spencer Johnson, he is just getting started in wedding photography so his prices are really great! I've seen some of his non wedding photos and they are spectacular! Let me know if you would like his info.

We went with Elise from Elisabeth Ann Photography as well:) We just had our engagment session yesterday! Her prices are very good, for the services you get and she is super nice and friendly!
I live in MN and only spent $100 on wedding photography. All you have to do is post an add on craigslist looking for people who are looking to fill their calendars, build their portfolios, get into the photography business. I have details on how I found my photographer HERE. The MN wedding photography market is soooo saturated. It makes it easy to find a good deal.
Lisa from Lisa Gunderson photography seems very reasonable! If you book 6 months prior to your date you get a discount and if its 8 hours then you get a free photo booth. I haven't booked with her yet but I think she will be the one :-)
we booked tracey joy photography, we already had our e-pics done and our wedding is in april so i think she took a couple hundred off our full price. but either way i think she's really reasonable for the quality/quanity. http://traceyjoyphotography.com/
