Weekend Getaway

So Ive been sick for the past month or so. Finally getting better, surgery done, almost off pain meds ect. My Fiance has been amazing through all of this and would like to plan  a weekend getaway for us. Any ideas of cute couple weekends like an hour or two from the cities? I was thinking maybe Stillwater? Any other ideas would be amazing! Thanks ladies :)

    I love Duluth! Stillwater is nice and really close or else places like Alexandria or Brainerd are great with the lakes :)

    Lots of super cute B&B's in Stillwater! I hold a special place in my heart for the Elephant Walk because that's where we stayed the night FI proposed, but there are lots of options. You can spend the morning going through all of the shops downtown, do a boat cruise on the St Croix, a picnic lunch/dinner, great places for dinner.

    Oh, I've also heard great things about Lanesboro. I think it's in an Amish community. Also New Ulm & St Peter are cute little towns but I'm not sure how much there is to do around there.

    I would highly recommend Stillwater! There are lots of cute shops, great places to eat, wineries, boat rides, etc. We stayed there at the Anne Bean Mansion on our wedding night. The place is gorgeous and the breakfast is top notch! You get a really comfy bed and a jacuzzi in the bathroom. 

    Here, I took a pic of what we ate that morning, LOL.
