New E-pic location help

Alright ladies Bring on any and all ideas and suggestions.  FI were planning on going to the Arboretum for our e-pics in August.  I emailed our photographer to double check the date, she informed me that now they require photographers to buy a pass of upwards of 300 dollars.  So I told her not to worry we can find other locations.  We don't want to venture too far off the beaten path.  We live in Chaska.  I was thinking of downtown Chaska because of the old cute buildings.  But I would love more ideas and suggestions.  We don't want Minnehaha falls since FI's good friend went there a couple weeks ago.  TIA!!!

There's that nature area off 212 (flying cloud or whatever they're calling it these days).  It's a little bit before Dell Rd.  I'll see if I can find the name.

eta:  Richard T. Anderson conservation area.  Purgatory creek park in EP is pretty also.

Millennium Gardens in Plymouth. I think there is a photographer fee there too though but it may depend on the day of the week... Are you only looking for the garden look or would you like some buildings...?

I am up for anything... My FI may be pickier than I am thats why I  thought I'd get some ideas.  I'm going to see what my photographer suggests too, but I don't want the downtown MPLS stuff....

We did ours at Mill City Musuem. It had nature with the river behind and modern with all the different wall textures.  I don't know the cities real well so I am unsure how far away it is from Chaska. If you want some picture examples, let me know (via PM).

There's a nice winery/orchard a bit further out than the arboretum that has a lot of beautiful areas for photos, similar to the arboretum!  I don't know if they charge a photography fee... I saw lots of families taking their own family photos there last fall when I was there for a tasting.  It may be worth checking out, too!  It's the Parley Lake Winery/Deardorff Orchard in Waconia.

The town of Victoria also has a lot of really cool spots for engagement photos, too.

We did ours downtown old Stillwater-- I highly suggest it! There are tons of cool old storefronts, the water, lift bridge, and shops to go into. We especially loved taking pictures in the olde time candy store and in Leo's Malt Shop.

One of the spots I have been considering is the Riley-Jacques Barn. It's in Eden Prairie in Riley Lake Park.
