How would you word this?

A friend is making her invitations and in a quandry. Here are the facts:
They are providing beer all night.
Other drinks may be purchased at the reception site's bar.
The bar only accepts cash. There is no ATM at the site.
Many of her older guests will likely drink bar drinks.

Is this something you would include on the Reception card of the invite? Like this maybe?

"Please note the bar accepts only cash for mixed drinks."

I wouldn't put anything in the invites. It will come off as tacky and rude. You can spread the word by word of mouth. I think people who drink at weddings typically bring cash.

I don't know why I said rude. It's not rude just tacky. I reread that and was hoping I didn't come off harsh.

I don't think that I'd say anything in the invitation either. Like pp said, it just doesn't sit right. I would tell people word of mouth or at the very most put the menu on the wedding webpage and inlclude beer under beverages.

Ditto pp.  The people who want mixed drinks will probably bring cash anyway and it can be spread through word of mouth.

Definatley word of mouth. At our wedding a ton of people opened a tab on there CC.

Definitely leave it off the invite. In fact, leave any mention of the bar off the invite. If your friend has a wedding website and feels it's important to put that information out there, that would be a more appropriate spot. But word of mouth is best.
