Feeding vendors?

We are planning on ordering meals for our vendors and wondered what others have done.  Did you order them the same meals as everyone else, including dessert?  We aren't doing cake so we will be serving apple crisp and pay for each person's serving.

We did.  Same meals as everyone else, and I suppose if they wanted to they could have had cake.  Not sure if they did though

Our venue did a box lunch for vendors but we ended up just serving what everyone else had save for the photog assistant who was vegan and got her own meal entirely (which she thanked me for profusely since I guess she ends up with vegetarian most of the time and still can't eat it).  That being said, our photogs sat at the tables with people so it would have been odd to serve them something different.

 DJ wasn't there until 6 so we asked if he wanted a meal before hand and he said not to worry about it. Photo booth was the same way.

We had a buffet, but made sure they knew they could jump in & eat whenever.  Our photog sat with my parents, as they've met before.  The DJ & the beverage service, just ate around their area I think.

I asked our venue and she said she serves the vendors free of charge.  So I didn't include the DJ or the photog in my final #s.  I guess I didn't actually check, but I assume they got fed?!
