NWR: Vet recs?

Can anybody recommend a vet near St Paul? I've only taken him to a vet once but that was in Mounds View and I'd rather not drive that far. Thanks in advance!

We always used the St Anthony Village clinic, pricey but it was close to us.  My cousin works at the UofM small animal clinic as a vet tech and she recommended a place in the midtown area...can't remember the name...but the vet is Dr Pomeroy

We use Como Park Animal Hospital, which is in St Paul on Dale. We love them so much we still go there even though we're now in Woodbury.

We love their vets and vet techs. They know our dogs by name and got our oldest dog through parvo when he was just a pup, so we trust them immensely. We go to Dr Jennrich usually, but they are all great. I can't recommend them enough!!!

I like feist animal hospital in St. Paul.  They have longer hours so I can always get my pet in after work. (and not pay the extra fee for an evening appt)

I've also used Larpenteur Animal Hospital.  They are very friendly - not great hours, but pretty good prices

We use Midway Animal Hospital on Snelling. They're great. We've always been able to get right in, usually the next day. They're very reasonably priced. Our dog gets allergic reactions to vaccines, so instead of giving him 2 at once they let us bring him in a week later to get the other one at no extra charge. In fact, at that extra visit the vet even took a peek in his ears and diagnosed a mild ear infection that I suspected he had. They are so nice, and our dog loves it there. They have pretty good hours, and they've always been on time for our appointments. They are also great about giving advice over the phone. Best of all, they know our dog. Whenever I call, they know exactly who he is and remember his special vaccine needs. I highly recommend them.

My baby (Mew, my cat) goes to Cottage Grove Animal Hospital and sees Dr. Sarah. He doesn't really like many people (he was a stray), but he LOVES her.  He even purrs for her.  It's a bit of a drive for me, but worth it knowing Mew likes his vet.

    Downtown St Paul
    Pomeroy's Animal Hospital & Clinic
185 7th Street East, St Paul, MN 55101-2302

He takes amazing care of animals, and works really hard on holistic healing, as well as the more practical, which is what a cyst sounds like. He gets crazy good reviews, and awards for being so great, and also relatively reasonably priced (if there is such a thing with vet care).

Or if you are willing to travel accross the river to Mpls: (right across the Marshall/Lake St Bridge)
    East Lake Animal Clinic
4104 East Lake Street, Minneapolis, MN 55406-2202

I had a tremendously wonderful experience here with FI's cat care, after a referral from my cousin and her 3 cats! We have since reco'd it to several friends, who have been very satisfied with the care, too.

    Good luck with the kitty!
