Bridal Shower Location

I am hosting a bridal shower for a friend and I am looking for places to host the shower (my home isn't an option due to size). There will be approx 10-15 people. I'm looking for an intimate setting that isn't going to cost more than $50 a person.

What about friends or family? Would anyone else be willing to have you host it at their place? Otherwise you could try like a nice hotel suite/conference room or something...

Also, when is this gonna be? If it'll be in a warmer month, you could consider having it at a park or something...

My friends threw me a beautiful shower at the Lake Hiawatha Recreation Center in south Minneapolis. The views of the lake were beautiful, the space was really large and has a full kitchen attached. I think the rental price was really affordable and you could bring in your own food.

thanks ladies. its mid- April so I don't want to plan for anything outside incase weather doesn't work out.

She's from out of town but all of our college friends live here, so it made most sense to do it here.

Anyone heard anything about Oak City?
