Rehearsal Dinner

Is it customary to serve dessert at a rehearsal dinner?  We are meeting with our venue tonight and they only have single serving desserts so I'm thinking I might need to ask if I can bring something in.  What are you doing/did you do?

We are not doing a dessert.  We aren't allowed to bring any food in but they did offer a preferred cake vendor if we were interested.  I think it's a personal preference though!

We wanted something super informal and laid back, so we are doing a pizza buffet at Broadway Pizza...and a fancy cake/cupcakes didn't really seem to fit that well.

Our venue includes a dessert which is ice cream. I am ok with that!  We are having cake and snacks back at the hospitality room for all other guests that we aren't having at the rehearsal dinner.  I don't think you need a dessert though.

I'm having a groom's cake made, so we'll have that.

We're having a groom's cake for our RD dessert. Personally, if you're able to provide one, I'd recommend it.
