any good picnic areas with shelter?

Hi all!

My guy and I got hitched earlier than we had planned (we actually eloped!) and now will be doing a post wedding reception, would like to do it picnic style, is there any good picnic sites with a large shelter? We may be expecting about 100+ guests and would like to be able to provide alochol. (beer and wine only)

Would prefer it close to the cities as much as possbile especially Minneapolis, Roseville, St Paul, New Brighton, St Anthony, etc :)

Thanks! :)

Minnehaha Park!  They have several pavilions, and the main one can definitely handle 100+.  I'm not 100% sure about alcohol, but I don't imagine it would be a huge problem.

I live near there, so I saw a lot of weddings there this summer.  It's a bit south of where you were looking, but it's also right off of 2 lightrail stations (46th St. and 50th St.).

Long Lake Park in New Brighton has a pretty big pavilion, not sure it would fit 100 but has a lot of green area outside of it that could fit many people.

Check with 3 rivers parks, they have a few different locations throughout the mertro area, a new one that just opened last fall in St. Anthony.
