Writing on stardream...

K, so I posted on the DIY board as well, but just wondering: Those of you that have attempted to write on stardream paper, which ink/type of pen worked the best?

TIA

I haven't actually worked with Stardream, but I've done lots of cards and stuff on shiny paper.  The ink usually sinks in more it seems like.  Sharpie just came out with some fine tip permanent marker pens.  If you don't mind black ink, I'd definitely recommend them!

I'll have to give that a try Steph. I was gonna do black anyway Wink...I've heard that with stardream, the ink doesn't dry well, and either smudges or beads up cuz stardream doesn't absorb it as well.

I can't say anything about the paper - but those sharpie pens are WONDERFUL!! They work really well on plastic cover sheets which don't absorb ink either.

I used a grey gel-type pen from Archiver's.  I took an envelope of mine and went to town with their sample pens and chose one that I liked the color, tip, and of course how it dried.  I'd recommend taking one of your envelopes and just testing out a bunch of pens on it to see what you like best.

I used Stardream paper for my thankyous and just used a regular old black rollerball Bic pen.  Any time I used anything "gel" or anything shiny, it didn't stay on the paper and smeared.
