Caribbean Honeymoon.. need Recs!

FI and I cannot decide where to take our honeymoon.. we've done so much research, and its making it worse because every place looks amazing! His aunt and uncle pay for their niece/nephew's honeymoons, so we are very blessed with that.

We have been looking at the DR extensively. We are also looking at Turks and Caicos and Grand Cayman, but are having a hard time finding the all-inclusives. We are also considering Antigua.

The only places that we do not want to go to are Mexico, because we've both been there a lot, and Jamaica.

Do you ladies have any recommendations? Any help would be amazing!

We are going to St. Lucia and I am SOO excited about it. We are staying at the Jalousie Plantation in a private villa with our own patio and pool (they have an all inclusive option you can add on) and then we are spending our last few days at an all inclusive Sandals - there are 3 sandals there and when you stay at one you have access to all 3 to you end up having like 15 pools, 30 restaurants, etc to choose from.

Well of course I am going to have to recommend Aruba We had the best time ever on our honeymoon in April.  We stayed at the Marriot Aruba Surf Club, not all inclusive, but it was a condo so we could cook some of our own meals.  It's an amazing island with amazing people.  We can't wait to go back!

A friend of mine who is a seasoned world traveller has said that the DR is her favorite Caribbean island to visit. And let me tell you, this girl has been EVERYWHERE. She said that she prefers it because of the people who live and work there. The beaches are also really beautiful.

I will also recommend Aruba! You could find better beaches anywhere. I went there last year with girlfriends and we stayed at the Tamarijn, which is in the "low rise" section of the island, which I prefer since it is more low key and much less crowded/busy than the high rise section.  I actually just made the decision that we will go back to Aruba for the honeymoon, and this time very likely Bucuti resort on Aruba, which is very close to where we were staying last year, but a little more upscale and adults only.

That is so generous of his aunt and uncle- how exciting to have that paid for!!

We are staying at an AI in the Bahamas (Paradise Island/Nassau) at the RIU Palace for 5 nights from 6/27-7/2 which is right next to the Atlantis.  FI and I are super excited since neither of us have been to the Caribbean!  I will let you know after we get back how it was

I have a girlfriend who goes to the DR every year. She loves it there! She has family that lives there so she doesn't have to stay at a Resort, but I can ask her for some good recs for you and get back to you.

We are planning to go to St. Lucia and my sister and her husband went on a cruise to the Caribbean for their honeymoon, they couldn't decide on an Island so they decided to see a bunch, it was cheaper for them this way.
