Shoes - Flats?

Hello Knotties,

I have always preferred wearing flats, but am not finding a good selection for bridal.  Any suggestions on places to check out that have fun bridal flats?  I found a cute picture on pinterest of something I liked (shown below), but so far everything I am finding is pretty plain.

Re: Shoes - Flats?

  • I ordered flats through my bridal shop (Dena Marie's) for about $35. Mine are ivory, but I think they came in other colors. They have a little bow and some sequiny/bling stuff on the front and a very thick padding to stand on so your feet won't hurt all day :)
  • I would check out Etsy.com  So many cute ones on there.  Or if you find someone who does make flats maybe they would do one to order for what you are looking for.
  • I wore mary jane style sketchers with blue flowers on them.  DH stepped on my dress during our first dance so I had held up the hem of my skirt a little so he wouldn't keep doing it.  For that reason only, people got a good look at my shoes.  I got so many compliments on my "something blue" and how I must've been incredibly comfortable!  (and I was - it was awesome to not have to worry about changing shoes!)  Good luck on your search - I don't have much to contribute other than go for the comfort girl!!
  • If you're not finding embellised ones that you like, maybe you could get a plain pair and add your own clips or bows to them.

I like 6pm.com and shoebuy.com for online shoe shopping.

  • I highly recommend endless.com. I knew that I had to buy flats or very short heels because I am so tall and H isn't, and endless had really good selection. You can search by color, size, and style at the same time.

  • Ditto on all the normal shoe websites (endless, 6pm, Zappos, DSW, etc.) where you can search by heel height.

I ended up buying mine at My Glass Slipper (www.myglassslipper.com) because I was looking for a specific brand, style and color of dyeable satin shoes.

  • payless? I found some cute shoes there and what about ebay.

  • I wore custom pink converses which I got a ton of compliments on and they were so comfortable....but if you're looking for something a little dressier I'd suggest zappos or etsy.
