Lighting

Hi Ladies! I am having a horrible time finding a place that is looking the way I'd really like for it to look. So I am looking at Uplighting/Lighting in general to change the space.

Does anyone have experience with this? Does it really change the color and feel of a room?

We LOVE the MN Arboretum and leaning towards the Tea Room as it has an awesome patio right off of it. However, the room itself isn't my taste, except for the wood beams. There is a terra cotta colored floor and the walls are a yellowish-orange color (not anywhere near my colors) the entire vibe of the room is very orange.

Just curious if lighting would actually change this, or if I should move on?

THanks!

Oh I'd also like to add, the reason we are looking at this room instead of the others is our group is very small, talking 40 or less and the other rooms are just too big.

We used lighting in the Saint Paul Hotel Ballroom and it warmed the space up. We used amber lights (which you wouldn't use if you're already worried about the orange!) and it looked wonderful. We worked with Instant Request, and they did a wonderful job

I'm also looking for uplighting services. Are you finding that most of them are about $45 per light? That's what a few have quoted me. I'm trying to figure out if it's a good price or not..

That's what we paid for Midwest Sound to do our room. All of my guests said it was the first thing they noticed. It really looked amazing.
