Brenda w/ Amazing Alterations 1st appt!

Hiya!

Had to take a quick moment to post about my first alterations appt I had yesterday afternoon.  Both my MOH and I took our dresses to Amazing Alterations in Anoka.  Seriously, the moment I opened the door I knew I'd love my experience.  Brenda's studio is so gorgeous and I just about died when her little Chinese Crested dog greeted us at the door (some of you may think eww a dog around the clothes but her studio is spotless and the dog leaves everything alone).  Anyway, Brenda was extremely friendly and funny and I could tell she knew her stuff!  She pinned both our dresses up and analyzed this and that...and gabbed with us all the while.

At the end she handed us her estimates and my jaw dropped.  I was stunned!  Amazing pricing...I was fully prepared to pay about 50% the price of my dress for alterations and it was only a 1/4!

My MOH also found a beautiful bling-y necklace and earring set to wear with her dress.  Also a great price. 

I am SO floored!  I can't wait to see our dresses in another month!  Definitely recommend even if you don't live near Anoka (I live in Mpls)...well worth the drive.

Yay glad to hear you had a great experience. I had my first fitting with her already and also got my veil made through her and I agree with you about her studio, little puppy and her service! Love it there!

Glad to hear it all went well! I love her shop, it is so cozy. Star is super adorable too, haha, I played fetch with her for a while during one of my appointments.

I was just there today for my first appointment and could have written your same post - I was absolutely wow'd with the service, price, atmosphere, everything.  For whatever reason I was super worked up and nervous about the fitting and she made it really easy and calming.

I am 100% confident I'm going to have a rave review once I pick up my dress.  I'm that happy.  Also - I was so, so hesitant to make the drive but am so glad I did.  It's out there (I'm a St Paul girl) but totally worth it even if you don't consider her crazy affordable rates - my changes are less than half of what I thought I'd pay.

I think all previous brides that have went to see Brenda could write the same post. No other word could describe her other than AMAZING!

Thanks for the advice! I go dress shopping for the first time on Saturday and have heard bad things about getting alterations done at different places.

I just had my second fitting with her and can echo your rave reviews! I love her and am floored by her prices - they are so reasonable. If anyone needs alterations I would recomend her, even if it's a bit of a hike (I'm in Edina) because she is well worth it!

any of ya'll have pricing?
Don't want to be noisy but trying to compare apples to oranges.  How much was done, where, time turn around, etc.  Any of that info would be helpful.  The alterations person I was hoping just kinda fell through before a firm confirmation.
