Affordable Dress Help

Hi girls,  Is there anywhere else besides Davids that has dresses for $500?  Thanks!

I just want something simple for my park wedding

look for sample sales or buy off the rack...a lot of times you can get a great discount for that!

My Mori Lee (see bio) was $499 at the Wedding Shoppe. I was astonished. (It's from the Mori Lee Blu line.)

I have heard of some brides having luck at Flutter Boutique (ordering white or ivory versions of certain bridesmaid gowns) - they have some fashion-forward styles that would be fun for a park wedding.

I got my dress at Rush's Bridal during a sample sale. It was an off the rack Pronovias dress. It was normally over $1000 and I got it for $375 after taxes and everything! I would call bridal shops and ask when they are doing those sample sales, all of the bridal shops do it. I know Mestads was having one soon. Plus then you don't have to wait for your dress to come in :)

Brides of France has some used gowns that are for sale on consignment, and they are usually affordable.

The Wedding Warehouse of Minnesota located in Blaine has hundreds of dresses in your price range. They also specialize in alterations and custom design dresses. They will do alterations on any dress no matter where it was purchased. The building is not fancy but their selection is impressive and the staff is very helpful and friendly. My daughter found her dress there and only paid about 1/3 of it's original price. They also offer you a glass of champagne which I thought was very nice.

    Thank you very much everyone!!

I went to Brides of France today (both locations) I was a pinch disappointed, fell in love with a $1500 gown, but there wasn't many consignment dresses.  Im sure they have a better selection at other times of the year.

I'm actually planning to buy a dress used from a fellow knottie :)  But if that doesn't work out, I will scour the wedding shoppe for deals and check out the shop in Blaine.

    Thanks again!
