3 or 5?

Half of our guest tables will be orchids or petals submerged in cylinder vases with a floating candle. I can't decide if I want 3 vases or 5 vases? 3 seems common and my ma thinks 5 is too busy.

What do you think? (Sorry about the half mock-up!)

I like three for a round table, but for a long rectangle table I think you could get away with 5 side-by-side (as opposed to in a circular grouping.)
