AW: Weight Watchers

I have to take a minute to AW the beginning of my weight-loss journey.  I started my first meeting at Weight Watchers last Saturday. My first weigh-in was yesterday and I lost 6.8 pounds my first week! Yay! I understand it won't stay that high and consistent, but it was definitely a great feeling. The wedding is next Septemeber, but I figured it's never too early to start.

I also picked up Jillian Michaels' 30DS and whoaaa she kicked my butt last night!

Just had to share the excitement :)

  • Congrats! Glad to hear you have a good outlook on weight loss and know that it wouldn't be healthy to keep losing that much every week ;-) Oh and I love 30DS but I never stick to it, haha. Hope you have better luck than I did!

  • Congrats! I've got a couple of Jillian's workout videos in my Netflix queue that I hope to try :-)

I know with 30 Day Shred, you're not supposed to do it EVERY single day- more like a few times a week since it's important to have rest days. Plus, it's intense!

  • Congrats! You should also take your measurements for those times when the scale doesn't seem to be moving.

I did WW a few years ago and lost quite a bit. I went back on (online) back in January but have really only bobbled between a few pounds. Lose 3, gain 2 back etc. But that's mostly me not being very consistent and guessing instead of measuring.

    Good job!
  • WOW, that's fantastic! Congrats!  I've done Weight Watchers in the past, and I think it's a great program.

    Keep up the good work!
