DJ's

Hey just wondering if there is a list of local DJ's and their prices or if anybody recommends anyone? TIA

I'm using Neon Express.  Thier standard system with 1 DJ is $350 for 8 hours.  I can't really give a review yet because we haven't had our wedding, but I know some others on here have used them before.  Hope this helps!

We are using Instant Request, and paying I believe $595 for unlimited time.  They also do uplighting, etc... but we aren't there yet in the planning :)  I have read good reviewa about them, but like pp, since our wedding hasn't come and gone yet I can't really give them a review.

We used Midwest Sound for our wedding.

We got a discount due to our reception venue & because we had a Friday wedding.  We paid $495, with a $95 deposit for 6 hours.

They did an amazing job & their planning tools online are great.  They got all the songs we requested & played a great variety at the wedding.  I highly suggest them!  = )

2nd vote for Midwest Sound and LIght.  They've been in the business a long time and do a great job.  Their equipment is up to date and they will find ANYTHING you want to play - even my sorority's obscure REM song which I offered to give them if they couldn't find it.  They had no problem whatsoever!

We used Neon Express. You can't beat their price and their quality was decent (only a couple of minor flubs), definitely more then I expected for the price! Full review in my bio

How did you get them for 595?  I had to pay 775 for mine...I feel jipped. Maybe I should have shopped around or bargained with them, but they already told me this were their "special"  and gullible me believed it.   Oh well, I still heard they were fantastic.

I want to say Bimbi might have used Adagio....I'll run off and check her bio quick.

ETA: Yes I'm awesome. Bimbi used Adagio and loved them. Review in her bio: http://vilandchris.weebly.com/vendor-reviews.html

Midwest Sound is $500 for me with ceremony and all night for the reception.
They've been great at emailing me too with all my questions :)

We used Adajio because we did the deal where you do a dj for while and live musicians for a while. I think we paid like $700.

It was also their "special" at the time- we booked over the summer.  I was told the deal would expire by fall, but I assumed they'd have another similar deal.  I've read nothing but great reviews of them, and they came highly recommended from my reception venue, so I guess I would say it's worth it even at the higher price.
