Minnesota-Minneapolis and St. Paul

Outdoor Venues

Hey everyone. So I'm in a really tight bind. I've been looking at, what feels like, every venue website trying to find a really cheap place to rent for my Reception. My budget only allows me to rent a place for $200-300 not including food. As I was looking, I started thinking that parks or gardens might be that cheap. The only stipulations I have is that it has to follow my budget, it can have outside caterers and it must hold 100-125 people. Do any of you know of any places? I'm so stressed from looking. P.S. The wedding is in the middle of the summer so no worries about weather.

Check out the Mpls and St Paul city websites, they both have links to park listings and they'll note which ones have space available for rent. Lake Phalen has a nice pavillion, right on the lake, definitely worth considering.

If you're willing to consider an indoor venue, I'm told that the White Bear Armory can be reserved for quite cheap. it's a big space and you can bring in your own caterer and booze.

    good luck!

There are a lot of venues that don't have rental fees for the location, just a food minimum since they have in-house caterers. My reception is at the Profile Event Center and only has a food mimimum that also includes linens, place settings, etc. Bellagalla also has a good search tool to find venues that fit your requirements. HTH!
