100 days!!!

Today is the 100 day mark.  I can't believe how quickly it is going!  Almost everything is complete.  We are tasting cakes this weekend and just have to finalize the DJ.  Otherwise all other major decisions are complete.  I'm sure the remaining time is going to go fast.  I just had to share my excitement.

drdifabio- We actually are schedule to go to 4 places.  I am bound and determined to be done with this check after this weekend.  We are going to P.J. Murphy's, Roseville Bakery, Key's Cafe and Queen of Cakes.  We're excited to see what each one of them can do for us.  I'm sure we will have a winner by the end of the day.  But, I'm sure we will be sick of cake at that point.

Congrats on the 100-day mark!

oooooo, cake tastings. I can't say anything for P.J. Murphy's or the Roseville Bakers, but we tasted at Keys and Queen of Cakes -- both are delicious.

We went with Keys because it's much less expensive and we thought it tasted better (hello, browned butter frosting!) But if you're looking for super-fancy, fondant-type cakes, Queen of Cakes does all of that and still puts out a pretty good taste!
