Alterations

I was given a list of three good places/people for alterations by the boutique where I purchased my wedding dress, but I have no idea how to pick one! Does anyone have any reviews about Linda Hammond in Hilliard, Lenka Tailor Shop in Worthington, or Pamela's Tailoring and Alterations in Hilliard? If not, does anyone know how to choose a good tailor? My dress is silk taffeta so it's a somewhat tricky fabric to work with and I really don't want it ruined, as I'm sure no one wants their wedding dress ruined! Any recommendations would be great! Thanks!

Re: Alterations

  • I'd honestly just basically interview the three places. Go in or call and see who you trust, who you get along with, and who you think will do the best job. If they aren't comfortable with the fabric, hopefully they'd say as much. Ask them all about your dress, things like estimates and what not. I'd hope your boutique wouldn't recommend them without having had heard good things in the past or having good experiences.

  • I didn't use any of these but Linda Hammond has had a ton of great reviews on here.
