Software for DIY invites?

Does anyone know of a good computer software program - that is not too expensive - for me to design my own wedding invites? I went to school for it, so there's no excuse for me not to do it myself... plus it will save me some $$ while having fun! :)

I would think if you went to school for it, you would know better than we would! Wink

Either way, I know a lot of people use Adobe Photoshop for stuff. Otherwise people also use Powerpoint or Word.

Haha, I should have added that I graduated over 5 years ago...so I'm a little rusty on knowing the programs! Plus they had really nice software at college...nothing I could afford now! :)

Thanks for the advice! If anyone else knows any other programs, feel free to let me know! :)

I used Word for mine.  Text boxes made it easy for me to size things appropriately.

I'm just doing everything in MS Word.  I definitely prefer the 2007 version, it makes it really easy to add images and overlap them with text.

The other thing I would check is that you have a printer that can handle the weight of cardstock you'll be using - just another thing to think about!
