XP Need opions please NWR

So I used to be close with this girl I got hired here, we worked together before and she rocked. Well then I got sick, this summer missed a bunch of work many trips to the DR, an Er visit and surgery. Well in the middle of this she sent me an IM (on accident) saying Emilys faking this illness and is just doing it for attention. OK w/e I was sick and irritated but didn't do anything about it. Well now I come to find out that she told my one supervisor I was faking it and I was doing it for attention. My supervisor was just like ok w/e and just blew her off. Should I go to HR about this or just let it go. Also I am only at this job till wed since I have got a new job since work has been weird lately.

I don't know.. do you have proof still, like saved the email? It is kind of hard to prove it, and maybe not worth your time if you are only going to be there for 2 more days? It is a crappy thing for someone to do, but unfortunately that is how people are. Hopefully your next co-workers are nicer!

I don't think it's worth your time if you're leaving the job in a couple days. If you were still going to be there, then it'd probably be something worth pursuing.

    Just keep swimming :-)

I agree with the others that it is really not worth your time any more. Some people are just rude and make things up to get attention. I'm sorry she treated you that way.

Ditto the PP, the exit interview is the perfect place to bring up why you felt it necessary to leave and that is a perfectly reasonable example of someone who is not emotionally mature and should be talked to about being more professional.

She will just lie and say she never said it if HR comes to talk to her or say she really thought I was faking it. Fri when I found out and was a lil tipsy I almost sent her a pic of my scar and being like so is this just make up then or what? Oh and when I was sick. I was bloated and looked like 3 months prego. So you could tell I was sick
