Checks & Dress!!!

Alright Ladies! We'll I had an amazing time in Minnesota for the last week (Minus the Weather, but I survived)! We looked at 6 venues and narrowed it down to Stonebrooke in Shakopee and Mississippi Dunes in Cottage Grove! Now we just need to really put everything together and see what the real price difference is and pros/cons. We also booked Jason with Capture the Moments Videography and Journey Photography for Pictures.

We did not end up being able to do e-Pux which was upsetting but it rained on Sunday and it just wasn't feasible. I would have been more upset that I didn't get the pictures I wanted if we just would have done all inside pix. So those are postponed until July 2012 (which is still 1 year in advance).

Now the best part! I BOUGHT MY DRESS! AND I bought it at the Wedding Shoppe during their sample sale so that was even better pricewise. Pictures to come, but I need assistance. I keep trying to get pictures in my posts/signature but they end up being huge, any suggestions of an image hosting site that is easy to use..I must be doing something wrong. Once I can figure out how to make the image smaller I will post pix of my dress

Congrats on the progress! Have you tried adding pics through the little tree icon at the bottom when you make a post? I've always added pics that way and they are never too big.....

The Tree @ the Bottom worked great! I guess I thought I had to web host them to get them in my post. THANK YOU!!!!!

Oh and let me know what you think. This is not at all what I thought that I would go with so I am just the slightest bit apprehensive.

<font color="#800080">Yes, I did like Stonebrooke, I looked at 6 and that is one of the 2 that I am deciding between. The 2 things that stand out for them that I don't like is that you can only have 30 chairs at the ceremony and everyone else has to stand on the patio (which is a very nice patio). Also that the bar area is shared with regular customers to their club house and it is a quite a bit smaller area for the reception than at Mississippi Dunes. I'll definately ask you some questions when I get all of the pros and cons figured out.</font>

We didn't have our ceremony there so I guess we didn't have to deal with the seating issue.

I was worried about the bar situation but Deb was absolutely right when she said that the bar/restraunt area is usually pretty empty when there is a wedding. The bar worked out fine for us. They also set up a portable bar on the patio before dinner. We had about 200 people which I was also concerned about with the area but it was perfect.

LOL I seriously loved it there so much and people still say how beautiful they thought it was. If you ever want to see some pics too let me know.
