Inexpensive Photographer (under $1500)

Hello ladies!

I am a bridesmaid in a wedding next may and I am helping the bride find a photographer. I remember what help this board was for me, and thought I would ask (beg) for recommendations for photographers.

Have any ideas? We would really appreciate any help.

    I went to college with Lauren and she is an awesome photographer. The only reason I am not going with her is because she is unable to travel to my wedding that wknd (Memorial Day Wknd, 2011) She also starts at $850. Check out her site to see if her syle fits with your friend.

    Sarah Ciccone!  She is really awesome to work with, and we were so happy with the results!!  She charges somewhere around $1000, which includes an engagement session and 8 hrs on the wedding day and a cd of all images along with the rights to those images.  She's very flexible though, so she offers other packages as well depending on your needs.

    We're using Mike and Meng from SnapGrin and had a blast doing our e-pics!  Only $1000 for all day, two photogs and e-pics.

    Render is absolutely fantastic, but even her basic package has gone up to $1700 since she has gained in popularity. I would totally recommend her if your budget is flexible, though!

    Legg- Really? I haven't stalked her blog in awhile... when we met with her in February (?) she was less than $800 for the basic package!  Good for her :)

    Adding up the components on her site that we have included in our package now  comes out to around $2700 so I feel very lucky that we are paying a little over half that! The bare bones package is listed as $1700 on her website currently. Her talent totally justifies the price, I'm just really glad we signed her early

    Just so you know, Snapgrin, has upped their prices for 2011 weddings.  I did an inquiry and their all day price is now about $1800 or so, if I remember correctly.

    I have a phone meeting/interview Imagen on Tues-but based on their package value and quality, plus reviews, I'm pretty sure we're going to go with them.  For $1077, they offer 3 photo sessions (from an a la carte menu) that includes all day (unlimited hours) wedding photography (with 2 photogs), engagement shoot, boudoir, rehearsal dinner, shower, trash the dress session, etc...you just pick which 3 you want.  You also get all the rights to your images and $100 print credit.

    I'm using Imagen, and I like them a lot. The engagement session went well; we really had fun and loved our pictures.
