Como Conservatory question!

We are having our ceremony in the Sunen Garden of the Marjorie mcNeely Conservatory (Como). Has anyone here done this before? And if so, did you have live music (like a quartet) or did you pipe your own selections through via speakers?

It's be swanky to hire a string quartet, but my fiance and I are so picky when it comes to music, that we figured it would be best to play our own. I was just wondering if anyone has done that before.

I've been to a wedding there that had a live quartet.  It's a nice set up for a quartet if that's how you choose to go.  At the wedding I was at, the ceremony took place on the steps furthest from the entrance, and they set up the quartet right at the entrance (near the wheelchair elevator) where there was plenty of space. I  admit,  It did look very swanky:)

Sounds like you either need to find a quartet that you are 1000% comfortable with or go the speaker route.

    Good luck!

I had my wedding there last October (congrats by the way - it is GORGEOUS!).  I hired a string trio to play and told them exactly what we wanted.  Because it was a small group (2 attendants on each side) we just had them do one processional rather than the two you'd see with a larger bridal party.  We had them set up at the bumped out part just as you walk in and it was lovely.
